HashKey Cloud Participates in Stacks' First Genesis Bond Cycle
HashKey Cloud is participating in Stacks' first Genesis Bond. The structure allows for rewards by locking Bitcoin on Layer 1 without third-party custody, entering the first restricted phase in the institutional market. Stacks founder Muneeb Ali announced HashKey Cloud's participation at an event in Hong Kong. Following UTXO management, HashKey Cloud has made it onto the list of the first Genesis Bonds. The Genesis Bond is set to start on September 10 at Bitcoin block 966,350, with the registration deadline on September 9 and the first reward payment scheduled for September 17. Stacks defines this product as a closed first cycle that only pre-approved institutions can participate in, with a limited amount of Bitcoin acceptance. Participants will lock BTC in a time lock on Bitcoin Layer 1 and hold the keys directly, with earnings distributed by Stacks miners under the Proof of Transfer (PoX) structure. The target annualized return is approximately 3%, with around 1.44% BTC earnings based on a 6-month bond. HashKey Cloud is expanding its institutional staking service that maintains asset control. The Genesis Bond marks the first restricted cycle for institutional Bitcoin staking as described by Stacks, with the registration deadline, start date, and first reward payment schedule confirmed.
