HIVE generates over 1 million daily revenue, 90% from Bitcoin mining
HIVE Digital Technologies reported that its Bitcoin-mining and GPU-cloud businesses generated more than 1 million dollars in combined average daily revenue from Aug. 21 to Sept. 10. The GPU cloud contributed approximately 100000 dollars per day, accounting for less than 10% of the total revenue, while Bitcoin mining supplied over 90%. HIVE mined an average of about 12 Bitcoin per day during this period, representing roughly 2% of global network production. The revenue figures are preliminary, unaudited estimates tied to Bitcoin prices, network difficulty, and operating conditions. HIVE has closed over 600 million dollars in GPU-cloud total contract value year to date, combining signed customer agreements and letters of intent, though this does not guarantee future revenue. In August, the AI business contributed less than 5% of the company's global daily revenue, and HIVE plans to wind down mining operations at its facilities. The company is considering repurposing sites for high-performance computing, but the conversion is not yet complete. The current operations indicate a dual transition, with AI cloud generating revenue while Bitcoin mining remains the primary financial source.
