Naftogaz and Teploenergo Agree on Debt Restructuring of 1 Billion UAH
Naftogaz Group and the municipal enterprise Teploenergo have agreed on the terms of restructuring a debt for natural gas amounting to approximately 1 billion UAH. The negotiations involved the city authorities of Dnipro, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, and the Ministry of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport. The agreement will ensure a smooth heating season and stable provision of utility services. For the energy company, the repayment will create financial resources for accumulating gas reserves for winter and restoring infrastructure damaged by shelling. For Teploenergo, the restructuring will help avoid financial pressure and focus on preparing the heating networks for winter. Acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz, Sergey Fedorenko, noted that the company is open to negotiations with all heating supply enterprises. Naftogaz is also seeking grant funding to purchase additional gas and has provided the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a list of critical international projects to prepare for the heating season.
