Oddpool Joins Kalshi to Advance Prediction Market Development
Prediction market data startup Oddpool has announced its partnership with Kalshi. Oddpool, co-founded by Ritesh and himself, graduated from Y Combinator this spring and completed a $3 million seed funding round. The company is dedicated to building the tools necessary for institutional adoption of prediction markets, viewing them as a legitimate asset class. Oddpool chose to enter the prediction market because it can aggregate information by matching buyers and sellers and determining prices through public bidding. Traditional derivatives markets have achieved price discovery in areas such as commodities, energy, and interest rates, while prediction markets further extend this to a broader range of topics including politics, sports, climate, and culture. Oddpool is building a data layer to help institutions, economists, policymakers, and business owners interpret data and assist in decision-making. Both parties believe that joining Kalshi will enable them to build from within the ecosystem.
