Rising Oil and Bitcoin Prices Amid Military Tensions in the Middle East
In the past 24 hours, increasing military tensions in the Middle East have brought geopolitical and inflationary risks back into the spotlight for investors. The price of Brent crude oil rose by 1.22% to reach $99.11 per barrel. This surge has gained more significance ahead of the release of U.S. inflation data. Gold prices fell by 0.21% to $4,384 due to pressure from interest rates and profit-taking. In the cryptocurrency market, the total market value increased by 0.87%, with Bitcoin rising by 0.36% to $78,910. The influx of $987 million into U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs provided price support. In Iran, the exchange rate led to an increase in the price of 18-carat gold to 23,675,000 tomans and Tether to 229,497 tomans. In the coming days, the trajectory of regional conflicts, the release of U.S. inflation data, and the continued influx of institutional investment into Bitcoin funds will be determining factors for the markets.
