President Macron will outline strategic priorities for shaping European digital sovereignty to approximately 10,000 attendees, including the development of euro-denominated stablecoins, the launch of a digital euro, and the establishment of relevant regulatory frameworks to promote Europe's core position in the global digital economy. The U.S. Senate Banking Committee plans to review the nomination of Kevin Warsh as Fed Chair on April 16
According to Jin10, a source told CNBC that the U.S. Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on April 16 to review Kevin Warsh's nomination as Fed Chair.
Another criminal investigation concerning the Fed is ongoing, examining whether current Chair Powell made false statements to Congress regarding the expensive renovations of the Fed's office building. Meanwhile, Warsh's nomination process is still moving forward, which could conflict with two parallel processes pushed by the Trump administration.
Banking Committee member Thom Tillis has stated that he will not vote to confirm Warsh until the investigation is concluded, meaning Trump cannot advance both processes simultaneously. However, by continuing to push for the hearing, Trump is clearly still attempting to achieve this goal. The Senate Banking Committee has not yet listed the hearing on the public agenda.
