Ukraine Reduced Gasoline Imports by 7% in August
Gasoline imports in Ukraine decreased by 7% in August to 152,000 tons. The main supplies came from Lithuania and Poland, while volumes from Romania and Greece decreased. From January to August, the country imported 1.12 million tons of gasoline, which is 16% more than in the same period last year. Lithuania supplied 51,800 tons (34% of imports), Poland - 40,100 tons (26%), totaling 60% of imports compared to 55% a year earlier. The Orlen group provided 78,800 tons (52% of August supplies). Imports from Germany decreased by 13% to 18,200 tons, of which 11,200 tons (61.5%) came from UPG. Supplies from Romania fell by a third to 23,400 tons, and from Greece - by 40% to 15,000 tons. The main reason for the decline in imports from the south was the price factor, as the market shortage did not pose a threat in August. The leader among importers in August was OKKO with 46,100 tons, and since the beginning of the year, the company has imported 302,000 tons (27% of total imports). WOG, UPG, and Ukrnafta each imported about 20,000 tons of gasoline.
