Waller's Hawkish Signals May Alleviate Rising Long-Term Bond Yields
On September 17, Justin Greenhill, Chief Investment Officer of SOLLINDA Capital Management, stated that the signals released during Waller's press conference were clearly hawkish, and this is expected to help alleviate the recent upward momentum in long-term bond yields in the short term. It remains unclear how this change will affect the stock market, but it is anticipated that as financial conditions tighten further, small-cap stocks will underperform compared to large-cap stocks.
