Walsh Focuses on AI's Impact on Supply and Demand, Decision-Making Should Be Left to Other Policymakers
Federal Reserve Chairman Walsh stated that the Fed is highly attentive to developments in the field of artificial intelligence and its impact on demand and supply, but decisions regarding the safety risks and benefits of AI should be made by other policymakers. Walsh pointed out that the Fed does not need to achieve policy goals at the expense of the labor market, and the current and future focus is on ensuring price stability to support sustainable economic growth.
