0.25% Interest Rate Increase Expected for Bitcoin
Data on inflation in the U.S. for August has raised the probability of a 0.25% interest rate increase at the Federal Reserve meeting to 85%. These aggressive expectations contrast with the forecasts of most economists who were hopeful for a halt in the tightening cycle. Additionally, the yield on long-term U.S. bonds approaching 5% has increased the cost of holding non-yielding assets like Bitcoin and gold, raising the risk of a significant correction for them. Alongside this, the U.S. Senate is conducting a vote on the Clarity bill, which has a low chance of initial approval, but any positive surprise could become a sudden catalyst for the market. For this reason, the upcoming week will be very challenging for the market.
