69% of Russians Do Not Understand the Use of Cryptocurrencies
69% of surveyed Russians do not see the application of cryptocurrencies in everyday life. The survey showed that there is interest in digital assets, but it has not become widespread. Among those who see possible scenarios for use, 8% are ready to use cryptocurrency for purchases abroad, 6% for long-term investments, 4% for transfers and entrepreneurial activities, and 13% for other purposes. 52% of participants do not use cryptocurrencies and do not understand how legalization will affect their lives. 22% believe that cryptocurrencies should be better regulated. 20% are waiting for legalization as a step towards a civilized market. 54% of respondents know almost nothing about cryptocurrencies, while 23% consider the information contradictory. 39% expect simplification of financial operations, and 23% want explanatory content from media and experts. The survey was conducted from July 23 to July 30, 2026, among more than 2,000 internet users.
