Government to Change Economic Operation Rules During Air Alerts
The government is preparing to adapt the operations of public institutions, enterprises, and transportation during prolonged air alerts. Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky announced that proposals will be formulated at the beginning of next week. These proposals concern the adaptation of Kyiv's operations and critical infrastructure to new threats. Koretsky noted that prolonged alerts affect safety and economic activity, paralyzing the work of enterprises and transport. The government plans to revise approaches to the curfew and citizens' access to information about air threats. In Kyiv, on August 29, ten air alerts were recorded, with a total duration of 11 hours and 9 minutes. Over the past three days, there have been 35 alerts with a total duration of 36 hours and 29 minutes. The losses from the halt of the economy during alerts could amount to 9 billion hryvnias.
