Optimism Decides to Reallocate 546.9 Million OP
Optimism (OP) announced that it will reallocate the unused user airdrop balance of 546.9 million OP to the strategic ecosystem fund. This proposal passed with 17,973,915 votes in favor and 1,093,696 votes against. This week's project updates summarized changes in major cryptocurrency projects including the Ethereum Foundation, WLFI, Arbitrum, Linera, and Uniswap. WLFI announced the establishment of a trust company and the launch of an RWA perpetual futures market, planning to use 250 million WLFI and $12.5 million for liquidity support. Arbitrum activated the ArbOS 61 'Elara' upgrade and added a protocol-level optional compliance filter. Linera is set to launch a new product line centered around the LNRA token sale. Gnosis Chain has set a direction to transition to an Ethereum settlement-based Layer 2. This week's updates focus on changes in project operations, with the repurposing of airdrop remaining balances and regulatory response strategies emerging as key issues.

On September 10, markets digested Apple’s product event and the oil breakout. Apple (AAPL) launched its first foldable iPhone Duo at $1,999, while the iPhone 18 Pro price rose by $100 to start at $1,199. The stock closed down about 0.3% at $315.34 on September 9 ET. Brent crude moved back above $100, all three major U.S. indexes closed lower, and energy was the only sector to post a gain of about 1.1%. Bitcoin remained capped by renewed hike pricing. Investors are now waiting for Adobe (ADBE) and Oracle (ORCL) earnings after the close on September 10 ET.
