AI agents execute 4.5 million transactions on XRP Ledger, settle 5836.71 XRP

An AI-payment hub on the XRP Ledger has recorded 4,491,820 transactions, settling only 5,836.71 XRP and 4,125.29 RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin. The XRPL AI Hub, managed by t54 labs, tracks activity but does not represent all payments on the ledger. The hub's activity indicates frequent payment processing rather than significant demand for XRP. On September 8, XRP traded at 1.40 with an 87.5 billion market capitalization and 2 billion in 24-hour trading volume. CryptoSlate rated market conditions bullish at 66 out of 100. The hub's design allows for small, frequent payments using the XRPL AI Starter Kit introduced on June 9, enabling agents to make micro-payments without requiring substantial XRP amounts. The transaction list shows fractional XRP and RLUSD transfers, with 152 registered merchants and an average of 199,059 payments per day. While the service facilitates micropayments for digital services, it does not equate to purchasing XRP. XRPL transaction fees require XRP, with a minimum fee of 10 drops. For XRP holders, the key indicators are the total XRP settled and whether usage leads to sustained demand. The current data shows micropayments, but the potential for substantial XRP settlement remains to be seen.
